so as to keep the cards dry.

September 3-6 • Winding down the summer
Big waves, cold wind - whatever, the boat must
come out of the water this weekend.
Friday night was calm, stars twinkled, the moon
cast shadows everywhere. By 6 am Saturday,
the winds and the rain came finally letting
up on Monday afternoon.
Lucy assumes her position at the helm.
Hotdogs on the fire, World Cup hockey on
the tv, and standing under the shelter
of the tree house - out of the rain!
What a treasured find! Very fresh meadow mushrooms. I even checked the mushroom book and made a call to baba to be sure they were what I thought they were. These few morsels were as white, firm and clean as could be, and they made excellent mushroom sauce for the varenyky! Have to remember where I found them to visit back there next year.
